What we are doing
Line Managers' Resource
The Action on Stigma initiative is for people with an interest in reducing the stigma and discrimination directed towards people in the workplace.
As part of Action on Stigma, Shift has published the Line Managers' Resource. The Line Managers' Resource is a booklet and website that gives advice and information for managing and supporting people with mental health problems in the workplace.
The Line Managers' Web Resource website also gives advice and information for employees to help them assess their own needs and plan for meetings with their manager.

Shift's Independent Review Panel
The Independent Review Panel has been set-up by Shift, the government anti-stigma programme for mental health. It will review and assess the quality and impact of materials designed to help employers promote mental wellbeing and manage mental ill health in the workplace.

Action on Stigma Consultation and Feedback Report
The Government has developed six principles designed to help employers and organisations reduce the incidence and impact of mental health problems. The principles outlined in the Action on Stigma discussion document are based upon existing Government policies and good practice initiatives.
To find out more about these principles and for more information about Action on Stigma, you can download a PDF version of the document.

Following the publication of the Action on Stigma discussion document, a listening exercise was launched to seek the views of employers, people with mental health problems and other stakeholders. The feedback report sets out the findings from the listening exercise.
